English card table in walnut and maple burl from the first half of the 19th century. The curved tabletop features an all-over maple inlay with leaf motifs and rotates on its own axis to create a storage compartment. The basket-shaped base is typical of the Victorian style and is embellished with leaf-motif carvings. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using traditional shellac and handmade alcohol-based varnish. Provenance: England, 19th century. Dimensions: 90×45 H72 cm. Englischer Kartentisch aus Nussbaum und Ahornmaser aus der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Die geschwungene Tischplatte ist durchgehend mit Ahornintarsien mit Blattmotiven verziert und lässt sich um die eigene Achse drehen, wodurch ein Stauraum entsteht. Das korbartige Untergestell ist typisch für den viktorianischen Stil und mit Schnitzereien in Blattmotiven verziert. Zustand: Von unseren Meisterhandwerkern unter Verwendung von traditionellem Schellack und handgefertigtem Lack auf Alkoholbasis restauriert. Herkunft: England, 19. Jahrhundert.
