Antike edwardianische Wellington Kommode von J Shoolbred, 1900

This is a fabulous antique late Victorian flame mahogany with scrolling satin wood marquetry decoration, Wellington chest, circa 1880 in date. It is attributed to the famous cabinet maker Jas Shoolbred & Co. The chest stands on a plinth base and has eight graduating drawers each beautifully inlaid with floral motifs. It has an ingenious locking flap which means that you can lock all the drawers with one key. The drawers are very spacious, provide loads of storage, and have their original brass ring pull handles. It is a spectacular piece which would look amazing in any room. THE BOTANICAL NAME FOR THE MAHOGANY THAT THIS ITEM IS MADE OF IS SWIETENIA MACROPHYLLA AND THIS TYPE OF MAHOGANY IS NOT SUBJECT TO CITES REGULATION AND DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY RESTRICTED MATERIALS. Condition: In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation. Es handelt sich um eine fabelhafte antike Wellington-Kommode aus dem späten viktorianischen Zeitalter, gefertigt aus Flammenmahagoni mit geschwungenen Intarsien aus Satinholz, datiert auf circa 1880. Sie wird dem berühmten Möbelschreiner Jas Shoolbred & Co. zugeschrieben. Die Kommode steht auf einem Sockel und verfügt über acht unterschiedlich große Schubladen, die jeweils wunderschön mit Blumenmotiven intarsiert sind. Sie verfügt über eine ausgeklügelte Verriegelungsklappe, dank derer sich alle Schubladen mit einem einzigen Schlüssel verschließen lassen. Die Schubladen sind sehr geräumig, bieten viel Stauraum und sind mit ihren originalen Messing-Ringgriffen ausgestattet. Es handelt sich um ein spektakuläres Stück, das in jedem Raum fantastisch zur Geltung kommen würde.
