Alfred Pollentine, Canal Grande Venedig, 19. Jh., Antike Ölgemälde, Gerahmtes 2er Set

This is a beautiful antique pair of oil on canvas paintings, one showing the view of the Grand Canal in Venice and the other the view of The Dogana, by the renowned British artist Alfred Pollentine (1836-1890). Each is signed to canvas lower right, „A Pollentine“ and further signed and inscribed „The Dogana“ & „The Grand Canal“ verso. This beautiful pair of paintings capture striking views of the Grand Canal and both feature busy streets and canal scenes with sailing boats and gondoliers in the foreground, in the distance the facades of Saint Mark’s, the Doge’s Palace, Santa Maria della Salute and the spiralling tower of the San Marco Campanile complete this wonderful pair. Each housed in it’s original and beautiful gilt and glazed gallery frame. Dies ist ein schönes antikes Paar Öl auf Leinwand Gemälde, eines zeigt die Ansicht des Canal Grande in Venedig und das andere die Ansicht der Dogana, von dem berühmten britischen Künstler Alfred Pollentine (1836-1890). Beide Gemälde sind unten rechts auf der Leinwand mit „A Pollentine“ und verso mit „The Dogana“ und „The Grand Canal“ signiert und beschriftet. Dieses schöne Gemäldepaar zeigt eindrucksvolle Ansichten des Canal Grande und beide zeigen belebte Straßen und Kanalszenen mit Segelbooten und Gondolieri im Vordergrund. In der Ferne vervollständigen die Fassaden des Markusdoms, des Dogenpalastes, Santa Maria della Salute und der spiralförmige Turm des Campanile San Marco dieses wunderbare Paar.
